The 2026 season has begun – at DG Aviation, we are looking forward to the coming months with great enthusiasm.

Over the past few weeks, we have received a few questions about our partnership with Jonker Sailplanes. We would like to address these clearly and transparently:

DG Aviation GmbH is an official service partner of Jonker Sailplanes. As part of this partnership, we support JS pilots and owners with our expertise and comprehensive services—reliably and regionally in southwestern Germany.

It is particularly important for us to emphasize: DG Aviation GmbH and Jonker Sailplanes are two separate companies that operate independently of one another. There is no economic, legal, or organizational dependency between the two firms.
Beyond the existing service partnership, there are additional joint projects currently being planned. These are also designed as collaborations and aim to leverage synergy effects and location advantages in a targeted and sustainable manner.

Another central component of this collaboration is JSDG Production GmbH. JSDG is also a legally independent company and serves as the aviation-certified manufacturing facility. Currently, DG1001 gliders as well as spare parts for DG and LS aircraft are manufactured and certified there.

We are currently planning to expand our product range at our manufacturing facility. In addition, DG Aviation operates an independent development division. This ensures the long-term support of DG and LS aircraft models.

With this clear structure, we ensure that we will remain a reliable partner for you in the future—for service and maintenance of all aircraft types, for new DG1001 aircraft, for spare parts for DG and LS aircraft, as well as for standard and system components, naturally regardless of aircraft type.
