Thank you for your valuable feedback as part of our recent survey concerning the propeller adapter disc of the DG-1000T. We would like to update you on the current status:

Internal testing of the revised adapter disc has been completed. We are currently awaiting official approval from EASA in the form of a Technical Note (TN) as a compliant solution to Airworthiness Directive (AD 2025-0112-E). Once this has been granted, the DG-1000T engine can be used again without further restrictions.

What does this mean for you?
You are already welcome to send us your adapter discs for inspection and modification. Return shipment will take place after EASA approval of TN 1000-52.
When removing the disc, please be sure to follow the instructions in our Service Information SI-116-25, available on our website at www.dg-aviation.de.

Three categories depending on the disc’s age:

Current age of the disc Cost of modification* New service life
> 5 years (before 08/2020) €415.03 1 year after modification
> 4 years (before 08/2021) €345.86 1 year after modification
< 4 years (from 08/2021 onward) €345.86 Unchanged (maximum 5 years total)

*plus VAT & shipping

This means we can also offer a solution for discs that have already exceeded their lifetime. The higher cost for older discs is due to more extensive documentation and inspection as part of the approval process, considering the material’s aging.

Important note:
Regardless of age: If the disc fails inspection, it must be replaced and may no longer be used.

New discs are currently only available in limited quantities, as – as previously announced – a complete redesign of the adapter disc is planned, with introduction expected in Winter 2025/2026.

If you have any questions, our team will be happy to assist you at any time.
