We are pleased to look back on the past competition year – a very strong “LS year” you could say!

German Junior Championships Aalen-Elchingen
Starting with the German Junior Championships in Aalen-Elchingen. The winner (Eric Schneider) and runner-up (Nils Schlautmann) in the standard class both took to the skies in an LS8. Seven LS8 pilots placed in the top 10 in this class alone! The winner in the club class was Gerit Neugebauer with an LS4.

WWGC 2023 – Women’s World Gliding Championship in Soria (Spain)
LS pilots also celebrated in the club and standard classes. World champion in the club class Louise Rodriguez from France in the LS7, in this field the LS pilots dominated very strongly. There were 6 LS pilots in the top ten alone.
In the Standard class, LS8 pilot Barbora Moravcova from the Czech Republic took the title. Here too, five LS pilots placed in the top 10.

E-Glide Competition St. Auban 2023
In September, Matthew Scutter won the title at the E-Glide Competition in St. Auban with the LS8e neo.

WGC 2023 Narromine (Australia)
The Standard class had three pilots on the podium. 1st to 3rd place went to LS8 pilots. Seven LS8 pilots in the top 10 dominated the field. The club class enjoyed the LS3 pilots. Places 1-3 were all taken by LS3 pilots. There were seven LS pilots in the top 10!

WOW is probably the best way to describe this dominance. We congratulate all pilots for a fantastic competition year 2023 and wish them successful flights and good placings for the new season.
