The Junior World Championships in early August in Tabor (Czech Republic) was certainly one of the highlights for the young pilots this year. LS pilots from all over the world could place very well in the club class. The LS pilots were able to celebrate a great result in the standard class. Place 2 – 6 all went to LS8 pilots. And that was not all. In the whole starting field other LS8 pilots could place themselves well.

Then in the middle of August the highlight for all female glider pilots with the world championship in Bosworth, England.
1st to 3rd place in the club class was celebrated by 3 LS pilots from the Czech Republic, England and Germany. And that was not all. Many more LS pilots successfully participated in these world championships of the club class. Besides our new world champion from Germany Cornelia Schaich in the standard class, other LS8 pilots placed successfully in the overall ranking, among others 3rd and 4th place went to the Czech Republic.

Of course we would also like to congratulate all pilots of smaller competitions on their achievements and wish all pilots a flyingly beautiful season final.
