{"id":639,"date":"2014-10-13T19:29:27","date_gmt":"2014-10-13T17:29:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.dg-flugzeugbau.de\/en\/?p=639"},"modified":"2016-08-30T19:31:57","modified_gmt":"2016-08-30T17:31:57","slug":"fuel-cock-warning","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.dg-aviation.de\/en\/service-maintenance\/fuel-cock-warning\/639","title":{"rendered":"Fuel Cock Warning Available Now for DG Motor-Gliders"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">Consistently, there have been incidents during the engine use in motor-gliders due to a closed fuel cock.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">Especially during the start-up process or when it&#8217;s necessary to use the engine at low altitudes to avoid an out landing, this incorrect operation can lead to fatal flight accidents.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">Due to this matter we have decided to offer a <a style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dg-aviation.de\/fileadmin\/TN-DG\/all-gliders\/TNG-09-Fuel-Cock-Warning\/\" target=\"_blank\">fuel cock warning<\/a> for all DG and LS motor-gliders in series.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">This upgrade is also available <b><span style=\"font-style: inherit;\">and highly recommended<\/span><\/b> for older DG motor gliders.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">EASA recently <a style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dg-aviation.de\/fileadmin\/TN-DG\/all-gliders\/TNG-09-Fuel-Cock-Warning\/\" target=\"_blank\">approved TN DG-G-09<\/a> which enables to upgrade the following types:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">DG-500M, DG-505MB<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">DG-600M<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">DG-800A\/LA, DG-800B, DG-808C<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">DG-1000T<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">DG-1000M<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">LS8-t<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">LS10-st<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">Due to the fuel cock\u2019s location in DG-400 motor-gliders, there is currently no intention to develop a solution for this motor-glider.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">Customers, who need more information or have further question, please contact our inspector Frank G\u00f6tze: <a href=\"m&#97;ilto&#58;goe&#116;&#122;&#101;&#64;dg&#45;flu&#103;z&#101;&#117;&#103;&#98;a&#117;.&#100;&#101;\">g&#111;&#101;&#116;ze&#64;d&#103;-&#102;lugz&#101;u&#103;&#98;&#97;u&#46;d&#101;<\/a><\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Consistently, there have been incidents during the engine use in motor-gliders due to a closed fuel cock.
