Digitalization is making progress these days. More and more innovations are also taking place in the instrument panel; some tried-and-tested analog systems are no longer manufactured and therefore have to make way.
That is why we have decided to obtain approval for a digital alternative as part of the minimum equipment for individual variants of DG-300, DG-500 and DG-1000.

As a result of the collaboration with EASA and our partner LXNAV d.o.o. the digital accelerometers are now approved by TN DG-G-16, to be used in aerobatics.
New DG-1001 are factory-fitted with approved LXNAV G-meter 57 and G-meter 80 digital accelerometers. Starting from today, the certificate issued for this is included, so the mentioned devices are approved to be used as minimum equipment.

If such a device was installed in your DG aircraft, it must be sent to us; or you can come to us with it. The accelerometer firmware will be updated and correct DG settings are. In some cases the accelerometer still has to be calibrated.
We will then issue the required documents so that the accelerometer can be reinstalled and the pilot-owner can certify that the TM has been carried out.
Technical details about the conversion to digital accelerometers are described in the technical note TN DG-G-16, which can be found on our website.
