With the neo-version, its handling could further be optimized, but, first and foremost, the aircraft\u2019s performance has significantly increased. How does that work? Even though the maximum take-off weight including ballast may add up to 525 kg, at that point most standard class sailplanes are no longer nice to fly. Till now! DG\u2019s LS8 neo keeps its excellent manoeuvrability even when fully loaded. In thermals together with much lighter competitors it climbs effortlessly \u2013 only to demonstrate its full potential during the glide. Consequently it was a reasonable step to combine the LS8-sc neo with the well proven FES system.
