In response to our customers’ requests we have decided to offer an ex factory handicapped accessible control unit for our DG-1001 family from now on. In the context of perfective maintenance we will consequently be enlarging our DG-1001 clientele, so that disabled pilots may now as well enjoy our high performance two-seater.
As there are extensive modifications necessary to alter the rudder’s control, we are only able to offer the handicapped accessible control for new sailplanes. All DG-1001Club, S and M can be ordered with the new kit. The conventional control via rudder pedal will however be preserved. The glider may therefore be flown as usual by any other pilot without handicap.
Our first customer will be a Norwegian club. Next spring they will be receiving a new DG-1001M equipped with handicapped accessible controls.
