In the beginning of January Volocopter GmbH and DG Flugzeugbau signed a cooperation contract to manufacture the new eVTOL aircraft “VoloCity”. Volocopter had published the new “VoloCity” design concept in autumn 2019 already. The new aircraft is under development at Volocopter for a while now and is based on know-how captured during manufacture of the VC2X and the results of hundreds of manned and unmanned flights conducted over the last years. While all Volocopter VC2X produced to date are in use for demo and test flight campaigns all over the world, the new aircraft is designed to be the first eVTOL “taxi” to enter commercial operation.
