DG Flugzeugbau recently got an order to manufacture a large number of Volocopters from Volocopter GmbH. The Volocopter 2X, as the latest version is called, is the first aircraft of its kind that enters a serial production. A lot of companies in many different countries have been working on similar projects to create tomorrow’s mobility solutions. Volocopter GmbH and DG Flugzeugbau as key partner have been market leader in this aircraft category since the very beginning. Thanks to huge investors like the Daimler AG, many engineers and technicians work hard to implement this new technology. Getting this project into the stage of a serial production is the next big step which keeps Volocopter and DG in the market lead.
